Final Fantasy 15’s different quests will be broken up into four separate categories, with some pertaining to the main story, several being monster hunts, and a few being regional quests, while others are just for fun – fishing and Chocobo racing were given as examples. Furthermore, Tabata proclaimed that he isn’t averse to adding post-launch materials with DLC, but the producer explained he has no intention to use FF 15 to make offshoot sequels like Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13-3....

For those who might not be familiar, Final Fantasy 15’s multiplayer mode is said to offer a 4-player cooperative experience. Whether that means a full campaign built for multiplayer, or a spin-off of the main game with 4 players, is unclear, but the potential is certainly there. Unlike the main game, however, players will seemingly be able to craft their own playable character, using a number of customization options. As the below screen (via DualShockers) illustrates, there will be options to manipulate a character’s height, head size, and muscles in-game, but most presume the customization will expand far beyond that....

In a new teaser video released by Square Enix, the first major Final Fantasy 15 post-launch DLC expansion will be a special event called the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, and will be available for free (or in a premium format for season pass holders) to all players from 5:00pm PT January 23 through to 4:00pm PT February 20. Initially alluded to in last month’s Holiday Pack DLC, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival will take place in the in-game city of Altissia and players will have a chance to participate in a variety of event-exclusive activities, such as water chocobo-racing, shooting galleries, fishing games, and even some new chocobo-themed recipes....

According to a recently discovered Twitter account, it’s possible that Final Fantasy 16 is closer to reveal than many would think. A new Twitter account has been discovered online that seemingly bears a Square-Enix email address (as is the same style of its website), and it seems it was just made recently: August 2020. The Twitter account is titled Final Fantasy XVI and has a FF16_JP handle, making it all seem rather legit....

The previous All Saints’ Wake for Final Fantasy 14 was postponed due to the launch of Endwalker, but this year’s Halloween-themed event arrived just in time on October 19, and it will last all the way to November 1. Players above Level 15 are welcome to undertake the All Saints’ Wake quest by talking to the Adventurers Guild Investigator in Old Gridania’s Amphitheater. Completing A Mad Masquerade will award players with the new Wake Doctor set while taking on the second quest will direct them towards the Bespectacled Peddler that sells a new emote and housing decoration for gil, as well as unlocks an area eerily reminiscent of Haukke Manor....

Based on the leaked demo footage, it appears that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is tweaking the events of the Shinra Mako Reactor explosion. In the original game, eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE destroys the Mako Reactor with a bomb, which is a serious blow against Shinra but also comes at the cost of innocent lives. In the new version of the game, it’s revealed that AVALANCHE’s bomb isn’t what caused the Mako reactor to explode in the way it did; on the contrary, Shinra is behind it....
