This new Final Fantasy 7 Remake news comes from early released information from a Famitsu interview with some of the developers working on the game, including Tetsuya Nomura and Motomu Toriyama. The interview is slated to release on July 22nd, and will include up to fifteen pages of insight on plans for part 2 as well as the development process for the already released installment. Players do know that, based on its direction, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 will likely feature characters such as Vincent Valentine, Yuffie, and Cid Highwind. Many fans and reviewers of the PC port have found a slew of issues with the version players have received on the Epic Games Store. Frame drops and stuttering, a lack of substantial graphics options and customization, all tied into the atypical $70 price tag, are all factors that have contributed to the backlash against Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC. Amidst rumors of a potentially shelved Steam release, as well as theories that the shipped version of the PC port may actually be a reconfigured debug build, fans are rightfully not satisfied with Square Enix’s PC port....

The map was made by Reddit user u/gigioromba, who spent around 200 hours finishing the project. They were able to produce the map placing 48 different 16x16 tiles and using multiple world maps as reference. Because there are no snow tiles in the first game, the colder regions of the world have desert tiles – Antarctica was nixed as a result. The creator posted the original piece, which has 33177600 pixels and 8K resolution, on Reddit for anyone who wants to use it....

While many enjoy the anthology feel to the Final Fantasy franchise, and that style does have many benefits like the ability to constantly try new ideas and tell different stories, it would still be great to see some of the old casts again. The fact of the matter is that many Final Fantasy games could do well with a modern sequel, whether that is in the classic sprite-based style, the Bravely Default chibi-modernized look, or just a whole new game built however Square Enix wants....
