As far as what improvements players can expect, series producer Yoshinori Kitase has revealed a few changes coming to Final Fantasy 8 Remastered. By and large, fans should welcome these changes, although one could be seen as controversial. Perhaps the most important modernizing of Final Fantasy 8 Remastered is that it will offer triple battle speed. While there is something to be said for the pace of battle in a JRPG, some battles can easily be one using basic attacks and are better served getting right to the XP and item reward screen....

As FF remains an ever-popular gaming franchise, the Chocobos and Moogles from the series remain almost just as popular, being remembered alongside the series as the mascots for the RPGs. The yellow birds have seen special solo spin-offs starring a smaller, cuter critter for the last several years, and it seems the bird is back following the Chocobo trademark being filed last year. The big reveal was saved until the end, however, as we finally got a look at the gameplay of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII remake from Square Enix. And it’s pretty epic. Khawaja was unbeaten on 68 and debutant Finch was unbeaten on 59 at the break, both having survived some anxious moments against a threatening Yasir Shah on a Dubai stadium pitch which has started to take spin. Shortly after news of the passing was made public knowledge, several Final Fantasy 14 players decided to create a small memorial of Miura, the man whose work had inspired many fans and fiction to this day. Although it is unknown when the memorial began, over time, the “small” vigil grew exponentially until it started to have a life of its own. These players suffer from trypophobia, a phobia in which those affected feel fear or disgust when they see clusters of small, tightly packed holes or irregular patterns. While many people may not have heard of trypophobia, it may be more common than players would expect. This is not to say that there are great games scheduled for the end of the year, just that there are a lot of big games that could fill this spot that fans want to know about. Final Fantasy 16, God of War: Ragnarok, Avatar: The Frontiers of Pandora, and Hogwarts Legacy all come to mind as potential games of the fall. While Final Fantasy 16 could prove to be a 2023 title, there is some reason to believe that fans could see it next month—hopefully including Final Fantasy 16’s release date as either this year or early next year....

One other announcement could have serious story implications for FF7, and that is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. This title came as a shock for everyone watching, almost as much as FF7 Rebirth getting a release window. For quite some time, it was rumored that Square Enix could not do anything with the PSP-exclusive Crisis Core due to it featuring the likeness of the Japanese idol Gackt. This was proven false a few months ago when Gackt’s character, Genesis, was added as a costume to Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier, although few expected anything to come of it....

In the game, Candidates can change not just their appearance, but their overall playstyle as well. Gameplay-wise, this translates to Styles that players can choose in every match, reflecting Jobs in the mainline Final Fantasygames. In the context of the FF7: The First Soldier battle royale, just how does each Job fare? What Are Styles?
