Previously in October, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment had released two videos with celebrities and developers discuss their fondest memories of The Lord of the Rings franchise as well as the impact it has had on culture today. Being the true fans that they are, Snowblind Studios also puts in their two cents on how they stay true to the nature of the game.

All corners of the entertainment industry and Tolkien universe come out to discuss War in the North, including Sean Astin and Dominic Monaghan  (The Lord of the Rings), Brian Posehn (The Sarah Silverman Show), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Eric Eckstein and Alison Haislip of G4TV, Miri Jedeikin, and Tolkien scholar Corey Olsen.

The first trailer, “The New Fellowship,” exchanges notes on the new characters and how well the player can relate to each of them. This trailer puts great emphasis on the story as well as the need to play the game in multiplayer mode and co-op play. You can play as Farin the Dwarf,  Andriel the Efl, and Eradan the Human ranger.

Within the second trailer, “Slay the Orcs,” the panel of developers and celebs discuss the maturity of the game versus previous entries to the LOTR franchise. This is a brutal game and the commentary promises that the mature rating is warranted. Limbs, heads, and blood will fly across the screen as this will be a most violent LOTR game that will stick close to the action from the films.

As you can see from these two trailers that Snowblind is not kidding around – they want to give gamers the real Lord of the Rings experience that they deserve. This may be a side story with different characters, but War in the North looks promising for those interested in a fun action-fantasy-RPG. And, to top it off, there will be cameos by characters from the epic trilogy as well!

Lord of The Rings: War In The North released this Tuesday, November 1, 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC!
