Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was launched worldwide five years ago in 2016. Given the date and the age of the video game, the development team is likely already hard-pressed to retain the player base. Especially in a space dominated by mobile arena titles such as Mobile Legends, COD Mobile, and even the recently launched Pokemon Unite. Therefore, it is not surprising that FF Brave Exvius is determined to bring in or keep its community by announcing new collaborations and bringing in powered-up versions of well-loved characters like Rinoa into the title.

On the official Japanese Twitter account of Brave Exvius, the team announced that there will be a special event featuring Final Fantasy 8’s main female character Rinoa Heartilly. Though Rinoa is already a unit available in the mobile title, it is the Neo Vision version with the iconic Angelo Cannon move that is being added into the game. In the full CG animated movie, the team showcases the Angelo Cannon move in high-definition. With how well-loved and popular Rinoa is as a character, FF8 fans will likely enjoy the short, well-made movie.

According to other tweets by the Japan team, the event will start from October 30, 2021, at 5:00PM Japan time. Rinoa will not be the only Neo Version unit included in the event, with fellow Final Fantasy 8 characters Squall Leonhart and Zell Dincht completing the roster. Given that this news only came from the official Japanese Twitter account, Western fans of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will have to wait longer and see when the Neo Vision versions of Rinoa, Squall, and Zell will be implemented globally.

With Halloween events going on across Square Enix’s current lineup of Final Fantasy mobile titles such as Opera Omnia and War of the Visions, fans still have plenty of content that they can go through before the new FF8 Neo Vision units arrive. Hopefully both Final Fantasy Brave Exvius players and fans will have enough patience for the global launch of these new playable units.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is available on Android and iOS mobile devices.
