PC fans, however, were recently given a break, as the PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake was finally revealed at The Game Awards, after being mentioned in several leaks. Square Enix not only announced that the remake will be coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, but it will be the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade version to boot. This includes the game’s visual upgrades, as well as Yuffie’s INTERmission DLC, so players won’t be missing anything from this release.

To ensure players are able to play this upcoming port of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Square Enix revealed the minimum and recommended PC Specs that fans will need to play the game. Regarding the game’s minimum requirements, the PC needs to have an Intel Core i5-3330 or an AMD FX-8350 processor built in, with a memory of 8 GB to run it. To get the game running rather smoothly, the suggested processor for the PC are either the Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, with a recommended 12 GB RAM for optimal performance.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s file size is still quite massive on PC, taking up about 100 GB of space, so fans might need to clear some space off their drive or need an external one for the game itself. The game’s graphical requirements were also listed, needing either a GeForce GTX 780 or Radeon RX 480 with a minimum of 3 GB of VRAM. For players wishing to get the best graphics and Intergrade’s visual upgrades, the recommended graphics cards are GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX 5700, along with 8 GB of VRAM.

It looks like PC gamers will only be able to get the game off the Epic Games Store for the time being. However, Square Enix hasn’t mentioned this being exclusive to it, so it’s possible that PC fans may see Final Fantasy 7 Remake come to other storefronts like Steam at some point in the future.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available for PS4 and PS5, and will launch for PC on December 16.
