Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been a massive success for Square Enix. Fans waited decades for the long-rumored remake and seemed only too happy in how it was adapted. The PS5 upgrade that released last year, titled Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade, came with improved visuals and frame rate, a photo mode, and DualSense haptic feedback integration. This brought even more players into the world of Final Fantasy, especially as it finally introduced fan-favorite character Yuffie to the mix. One new episode in the game is devoted to the Wutai ninja as she works with Avalanche to steal materia from Shinra.

This Final Fantasy 7 Remake concept art shows off the design of Aerith’s house, most specifically the second floor (with bedrooms), as well as the rooftop. This art reveals a bit of an Easter egg for anyone who’s played the original Final Fantasy 7, as the blue and yellow pattern rug is directly inspired by the original. Players only see it for a glimpse after Cloud wakes up in Aerith’s bed, a real blink and miss it moment, so it’s great to see this attention to detail.

Another piece of concept art Square Enix recently released shows off the Shin-Ra Building located on Zeroth Avenue. This metal structure is based on a battleship bridge and comes in at 70 floors- which is why our heroes were so winded trying to climb them all.

It’s really great to be able to see all the work that went into creating (or rather, re-imagining) the game, and hopefully it will tide people over while they wait for any and all news of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2.

Of course, some fans are still waiting to play it at all. There’s still no word on just when Final Fantasy 7 is coming to Xbox consoles, since the exclusivity agreement with PlayStation came to an end last year. Over the last couple of years Square Enix has placed and removed much of the Final Fantasy catalog on Xbox Game Pass, so it seems like it would be a natural fit for Xbox’s hugely popular service, but there’s no word on it just yet.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
