With only a few more weeks left before Gamescom in Germany, Square Enix has announced its lineup of games for the show, and it is quite a list. Square Enix will be bringing over 200 game stations for fans to play its upcoming titles on, and people waiting in line will be given access to mobile game demo stations for Lara Croft: Relic Run and Hitman Go.
That line might stretch on for some distance, too: the popular Japanese developer has booked an 1,100 square meter booth on the show floor to maximize fans chances at experiencing the titles on display. Square Enix has also indicated that they are going to be making multiple exciting stage presentations involving the PS4 and Xbox One exclusive Final Fantasy 15, and that special guests and new insights will be involved.
According to Square Enix, some lucky fans will even get their hands on a brand-new second demo for Final Fantasy 15, entitled Episode Duscae 2.0. This will be Square Enix’s first conference since E3, and the first news conference involving Final Fantasy XV in quite some time. Episode Duscae 2.0 won’t be the only demo that Square Enix is bringing with them, though, with a list of playable titles that includes:

It will be interesting to see who Square Enix chooses to be their “special guests” for their Final Fantasy 15 presentation, and what sort of new information they’ll bring. Given that Final Fantasy 15’s director Hajime Tabata has already come under fire for his comments about the Final Fantasy XV character diversity, it makes sense that Square Enix might try something new with this presentation.
Episode Duscae 2.0 in particular might offer more information than the entire presentation, as it is set to continue the events from the last demo and may feature more info about the upcoming game’s story. If nothing else, the demo should provide another chance for Square Enix to highlight one of the major selling points of Final Fantasy 15, the Luminous software engine that is set to bring Final Fantasy graphics into the next generation.
