Interestingly enough, Square Enix, Jones Soda, and Target are doing just that by partnering to deliver an official soft drink inspired by Final Fantasy 15’s in-game area called Wiz Chocobo Post, with the beverage being branded “Wiz’s Energizing Elixir.” Fans whose thirst is aching to be slaked by the sugary soda will be able to get their hands on the drink at Target when they buy the game on its release date tomorrow, November 29, as a free bottle is coupled with a purchase of the title.

Of course, should there be fans out there who simply want to get a single dose of Wiz’s Energizing Elixir without getting a copy of Final Fantasy 15, they can do so at $3 a pop. For those wondering what the drink’s flavor will be like, it’s being described as orange and cream flavored. If that sounds appealing, it’s important to mention that it is going to be a Target-exclusive beverage.

As some folks may recall, this isn’t the first instance of Target and Jones Soda teaming up to deliver a video game-related soft drink to fans of the medium. As a matter of fact, just last year, the retailer and beverage company partnered with Bethesda to put out some pop inspired by Fallout 4’s in-game soda Nuka Cola Quantum. During its first run, the demand was so high for the blue-colored drink that it sold out almost instantaneously both online and in-stores, which makes one wonder whether or not Final Fantasy 15’s Wiz’s Energizing Elixir will be privy to the same kind of popularity.

Final Fantasy 15’s Wiz’s Energizing Elixir won’t go down as the only example of Square Enix’s attempts to have external merchandising related to the forthcoming RPG. Although the price gap between the two products is as wide as the Grand Canyon, the developer also partnered with Audi Japan to sell the Audi R8 V10 from the Final Fantasy 15 movie Kingsglaive for a whopping $469,000.

Beyond Final Fantasy 15’s ancillary products, most fans surely just want to know whether or not the game is going to be worth the decade-long wait and should be a day one purchase. So far, it seems as if Square Enix’s latest entry in its huge stable of titles for the franchise is winning over critics, as reviews have been generally positive.

Final Fantasy 15 is set to release on November 29, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
