Since much of the Island Sanctuary works slowly in real-world time, do not expect to get to rank 10 in just a day. While it may take days to complete, though, there are methods that can quicken ranking up. With each rank, the island gets new and exciting features such as new tools, upgrades, and landmarks.

How To Rank Up Fast
First and foremost, do not spend any Seafarer’s Cowries on anything except island expansion. While there are cool mounts and clothes to buy from the local merchant, these are best saved for after ranking up to level 10. Seafarer Cowries are required for all expansions of the pasture, garden, and getting more plots to build upon. These expansions are crucial for gaining more island EXP.
It is the time-gated content that gives the most EXP towards island rank. These activities include:
Building Facilities Building Landmarks Completing Visions (basically, the Island Sanctuary Main Quest)
It is recommended to prioritize the time-gated elements not only because they give the most EXP, but also because they will take the longest since they require real-world wait times to complete. While waiting for real-world time to pass, there are other things to do in order to increase island rank quicker. These activities are:
Gathering Resources Feeding Animals Growing Vegetables
On top of all these activities, be sure to always have the workshop queue full. Make sure to build the three workshops as soon as possible. Gathering resourcing can be tedious, so some players have made macros to grind gathering for the experience. It’s recommended to focus on just gathering what is needed to build tools, facilities, and landmarks.
