During this year’s Digital Fan Festival, Square Enix revealed the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 melee DPS class known as the Reaper. The Reaper will fittingly use a two-handed scythe weapon to cut enemies down and they have a ghost avatar from the void to help them fight. Producer and Director of Final Fantasy 14 Naoki Yoshida has been teasing the Reaper for several months, but during the Digital Fan Festival, gameplay for the new class was finally revealed. The Endwalker expansion will be required to unlock the Reaper and the already teased Sage class.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker’s new city Thavanir’s Radz-at-Han has already been revealed during the original Endwalker tease, but the demo revealed during this year’s Digital Fan Festival showed the new city in greater detail. A beautiful underground dome that emulates Garlemald known as Labrynithos was also revealed with cheerful carnival music playing during the recent reveal. Final Fantasy 14 players will also visit the moon when Endwalker releases to discover a giant moon base known as Mare Lamentorum. These new areas will be joined by new quests and challenges to complete along the way, with new gear and a deep storyline rewarding players along the way.

Fans of Final Fantasy 14 are already aware of female Viera, but after tons of demand, the development team behind the popular MMO has officially added male Viera to the Endwalker expansion. Old Sharlayan will be Endwalker’s hub city in the same way that The Crystarium was for Shadowbringers and Kugane was for Stormblood and it will be the new city where all of the races and classes across Final Fantasy 14 come together to socialize, trade, group up, and more.

The Final Fantasy 14 community in the Oceania region will be pleased to know that a new data centre has been added to the region in order to satiate the demand for servers. Square Enix has officially revealed the release date for Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker during the Digital Fan Festival, confirming it will launch on November 23.

Final Fantasy 14 is available right now for PC, PS3, PS4, and PS5.
